Holo Taco One Coat Chrome Collection

Holo Taco put out a new collection in a chrome formula that I was super curious about since I had approximately one chrome polish (maybe from Revlon?) 10 - 15 years ago. I ordered the collection and it finally showed up this week so I got to work experimenting with it (spoiler - it’s very different from my last encounter with chrome polish).

This collection includes:

• World’s First - a silver chrome polish

• Trophy Life - a gold chrome polish

• Aquafoil - a turquoise chrome polish

• Iron Violet - a purple chrome polish

• Pink Steel - a pink chrome polish

• Quick Dry Base - a new base coat formulated for these polishes

I swatched each on my favorite nail art mat and found the colors to be really pretty. Application was a bit tricky. They had one coat coverage, but could be a bit streaky if you weren’t super careful painting and the quicker dry time complicated that further.

I decided to do a reverse stamped watermarble for Instagram that took a lot of time and effort, but the end result was pretty impressive for a first try. I have lots more playing planned for this formula to see how I can better work with it.
