Stitch Fix #29 - April 2019
/I scheduled this fix as a post-busy-season reward that kind of turned into an April thing to look forward to due to some changes going on at work. I was so happy to see that my stylist from my December 2018 fix, Sarah, was back to style me again! I get super excited about Sarahs coming together to do anything (just ask my coworkers who are also named Sarah - I’m kind of ridiculous), so I was happy to hear she will be stepping in since my former stylist, Lori, has moved on. Sarah sent yet another awesome fix - read on to see more!
ANDREW MARC PERFORMANCE Kayleigh Back Detail Knit Top - Returned
I was happy to see this top in my fix due to the neutral color and the back detail. I felt like it would go with a lot of other items in my closet. The length was great, but it was slightly too big around. I was afraid if I sized down it would be too small through the shoulders, so I returned it.
KUT FROM THE KLOTH Hannah Raw Hem Denim Skirt - Returned
I love the idea of this skirt, especially the orange. It looks great in the picture on the Stitch Fix app/checkout page online, but I don't love how it looks on me. I’m not sure if I needed to size up or if the waist was just higher than I’m used to wearing - it seemed poochy at tummy so I sent it back.
JUDY BLUE Lynn Distressed Bootcut Jean - Kept
These fit me well and I don’t own a pair of bootcut jeans in a dark wash, so these were an easy choice to keep. I now how so many Stitch Fix jeans I think I’m going to have to cut myself off…
COLLECTIVE CONCEPTS Rufio Tie Back Blouse - Kept
I love the color on this top! The material is nice and I like the way it fits - it’s not too flowy at the bottom. I also feel like I can wear this alone when it’s warmer or layered with lots of stuff in my closet when it’s cooler or cold out.
NINE BRITTON Lizzy Brushed Knit Dress - Kept
I'm a fix peeker and I was SO EXCITED to see that Sarah sent this since I had pinned it. The material is so soft, and I love the polka dots and strappy look. It fits well and it's not too long (it actually might be a wee bit short, but I’ll make it work!).
Final thoughts on this fix
This is only my second fix with Sarah as my stylist and I’m seriously wowed by how quickly she has been able to step in and understand my style. She’s spot on with the little details I love in Stitch Fix clothing along with the bright colors I love to receive. She even noted items she was keeping a lookout for to send in future fixes that would go well with items from this month’s fix - talk about attention to detail! I feel so lucky to keep being matched with awesome stylists that get me - first it was Melissa, then Lori when she moved on, and now Sarah. I don’t know how Stitch Fix does this (though I would love to learn more - the inner workings of Stitch Fix is fascinating to me), but I hope they keep it up - they make me happy!
