An Etsy Update

My Etsy experiment has come to an end. The listings for the six Orange & Shiny original amigurumi animals I posted before the holidays have expired without selling. At this point, I'm not planning on relisting them. On one hand, I'm fairly disappointed. In the past, many people have shown great interest in my work in conversation and always asked why I hadn't listed anything on Etsy. After creating my shop and listing items, nothing came of it. On the other hand, I'm not wholly surprised none of my work sold. Outside of the people I told about my shop, I didn't take any extra steps to promote anything. I was just hoping to let Etsy's search function do its thing. I now realize this wasn't the correct approach.

My current plan is to keep the shop, but I'm not sure if or when I'll list more items. For now, I think I'm going to continue crocheting/crafting the things that make me happy and giving them as gifts. If I receive interest in something I make, I'll work with the individual to get it to them without Etsy's assistance. If this plan changes, I'll update here. Until then, happy crafting, everyone!
