Stitch Fix #20 - October 2017
/It's that time again. I can't believe I'm already on Stitch Fix #20! This month I wished my stylist, Melissa, a happy fall and told her to do her thing. She sent a great fall fix. Read on to see more!
MYSTREE Westlee Printed Hooded Cardigan - Returned
Melissa noted this is a perfect fall/winter cardigan to wear while drinking a favorite of the season - the pumpkin spice latte - and I couldn't agree more. The colors/pattern are great and I love the way it felt on since it was really warm. Unfortunately, I know I wouldn't wear it too often because it's dry clean only so it had to go back.
JUST BLACK Adorra Skinny Jean - Kept
I'm so glad Melissa sent these! My beloved Liverpool Elizabeths I received last fall have gotten a tad big, so these will get a lot of use. They fit well and I like the dark wash - an easy choice to keep!
PIXLEY Waldo Grommet Detail Pullover - Returned
Melissa mentioned this definitely is my style and she's so right. I love the grommet detail on the sleeves! I wanted to keep this so badly, but it was big on me. I was worried exchanging for a small would be too small, so I returned it and was sad to see it go.
41 HAWTHORN Nio Pullover Sweater - Returned
This was a great pick since it reminds me of a baseball tee in a sweater, but I ultimately couldn't decide if I liked how it looked on me. Since I was waffling, I decided to send it back.
OLIVE & OAK Maryanne Striped Pullover - Kept
This is a great sweater! I like the stripes and green color combo, rounded neckline, and overall feel of the material (it's nice and soft). I don't have anything similar in colors/pattern in my closet, so this was an easy add.
Final thoughts on this fix
Melissa sent more pieces from Facebook Style Shuffle and I just love that! This was definitely a great group of items as I go into fall. I can feel myself being more picky about fit (and I'm starting to think I need to update my style profile sizing since it seems like I'm starting to have an issue with tops being a bit big on me). I'm also spending less time deciding on items that I'm just not sure about since my closet is fairly well stocked now. I guess I'm taking on a rule I see a lot of other Stitch Fix users adhering to - if I don't "love love" it or don't know how often I'd wear it, send it back. Now it's time to decide when to schedule my next fix since Melissa is going on maternity leave (side note - I'm so excited for her!). She assured me I'd be in good hands in her absence, but it kind of feels like I'd be stylist cheating (this is probably not a thing, just a weird Sarah thought). Decisions, decisions...
