Sarah Bakes: Banana Whoopie Pies
I pull most of my baking inspiration from things I see on Instagram. Trader Joe’s recently posted a banana recipe contest and the grand prize winner was a banana whoopie pie recipe by Louise Nielsen. I can’t resist a banana baked good, so this seemed like the perfect thing to make for Jeff’s coworkers. I baked the cookies, but let Jeff whipped up the filling since he wanted it stabilized and I had absolutely no experience doing that. We didn’t get fancy pictures, but the end product was pretty tasty.
