Banana Malasadas!
/We recently found out about a Hawaiian food truck on the East side called Hapa Food Company. Their Instagram had delicious looking pictures of banana filled malasadas and that meant only one thing - I had to have them!
We called in an order to the truck that was in Woodinville and drove up to pick it up. There were quite a few people around ordering and taking out food which was a good sign. I got the pig plate that had Kahlua pork and Jeff got the Kalbi and shrimp mix plate in addition to 6 regular and 6 banana filled malasadas.
The food was reminiscent of all the things we love to eat in Maui - everything was quite tasty. The malasadas were the highlight though. The regular version was very good, but the banana filled version was my favorite.
I’m always pleased to find local businesses serving up yummy things - more visits to this tasty truck are definitely in our future!
