Racerback Dress Prototype
/There has been a lack of crochet posts on this blog since April because I’ve been working on a dress prototype. It was inspired by a comfy looking racerback dress I saw on Instagram. I decided to make the straps and waist a bit more interesting by using a puff-V stitch, but kept the rest of the dress single crochet so it wouldn’t be too holey.

The end result looks okay on a hanger, but I determined the 24/7 Cotton yarn I used was too thick. I ripped the skirt out seven times before I got it to come out the way I envisioned, but the drape is still stiff and icky. I’m going to buy some fingering weight yarn and make a second prototype to see if that helps or if I should just frog the whole idea.
