Stitch Fix #31 - September 2019

As I’ve said in the past, I’ve cut back on Stitch Fixes because I just don’t need much right now. That doesn’t mean I’ve stopped enjoying them, though! For this fix, I asked stylist Sarah for pieces to transition to fall (aka layering pieces). Read on to see what she sent!

MARKET & SPRUCE Zansia Curved Hem Knit Top - Kept

When I peeked at my fix before it arrived, I wasn’t a fan of this top. However, I know better than to judge pieces before I receive them to try on. It turns out that I like this top on me - it's soft, long, and overall fits well. I also like that it can layer under quite a few items in my closet.

MARKET & SPRUCE Tabatha Waffle Knit Cotton Blend Cocoon Cardigan - Kept

I don't tend to go for waffle knit items, but I really like this sweater. The color is great, it's long, and I like the foldover/pocket situation in the front.

MICHAEL MICHAEL KORS Sariyah Mix Material Blouse - Returned

I really wanted to like this top - I don’t own anything this color and materials are great, but it looked a bit too boxy on me. If it nipped in more at the waist, I probably would have kept it.

LEMON TART Briar Printed Puffer Vest - Returned

I really like vests, so I’m glad Sarah sent me one to try. Unfortunately, this particular vest was a bit too big & I didn't love the pattern/colors. Too bad since it was otherwise comfy and warm!

LIVERPOOL Jacqueline Skinny Pant - Kept

I don't own a pair of everyday black skinnies, so these are a welcome addition to my closet. They fit nicely and I like the material - very comfy!

Final thoughts on this fix

Stylist Sarah delivered exactly what I was looking for this fix. The pieces I kept can be mixed and matched with all the other Stitch Fix items that are already in my closet and that makes me happy. The only thing I didn’t love (which has nothing to do with Stylist Sarah) is that Stitch Fix appears to now be enforcing a character limit on the feedback to your stylist box at the very bottom of the checkout page. I used to use this as an overflow area if my feedback didn’t fit into the boxes next to each item. Now I feel like I can barely say “hey thanks!” before the character limit is filled. I get why they do it (if every stylist has several of me who love to write novels as feedback, they’d have no time to style anyone!), but it makes my connection with my stylist a little less personal. I suppose if this is my biggest complaint, that’s not too bad - still a pretty happy customer. :)
