Stitch Fix #12 - January 2017
/It's time for my January Stitch Fix review! My stylist, Melissa, has been doing an impressive job with "surprise me" fixes for the last few months, so I told her to keep up that trend. She delivered as usual... and in a big way!
MO-KA Violetti Puffer Coat - Kept
This puffer coat is fantastic. I really like everything about this jacket, but my favorite part is the print (which didn't pick up well in the pictures, unfortunately). It's called purple gravel and it's so me! I also like the fur around the hood(which is removable), the cut, and that it's machine washable. I don't have a single negative thing to say about this coat. It's a definite keeper.
MARKET & SPRUCE Bernadette Lace Overlay Raglan Top - Kept
This top is really cute. I like that the lace is an accent and not all over and how soft the gray material is. It also is a nice cut on me. The only drawback is that it's very light colored and I'm a messy eater so I'll be risking stains by keeping it. It's too cute to send back.
RENEE C Jerri Polka Dot Pullover Sweater - Kept
I wasn't sure about this one out of the box since it's similar to the black and white polka dot sweater I received in my November fix. The dots are smaller and the color is different (navy), so I decided to keep it since I found the fit really flattering (even though it's twisted slightly in the pictures - it really does look nice when I pull it down properly). The one thing to note is that the material is thin, so I think I'll wear a tank top under it.
MARKET & SPRUCE Jahana Cargo Vest - Kept
This is a nice vest. I like the color, the length, and that it has a hood(though I'm not sure I'll need it). The part that I went back and forth on was whether or not I liked the cut/fit on me. There is a drawstring inside to help nip in the waist, so I think messing with that will help. Ultimately, I decided to keep this vest since I loved everything else in the box so much. I think this will grow on me since it's a nice piece to keep me warm in my freezing office.
SKIES ARE BLUE Medea Cut Out Sleeve Pullover Sweater - Kept
This may look like a simple black sweater, but it's not. Check out the sweet arm detail! I'm so excited about this because you can't go wrong with the cut or color and it will keep me warm while still being fun!
Final thoughts on this fix
I said last month's box was a special holiday treat and predicted I was on my way to the elusive 5/5 fix. Well, I was 100% right! I finally kept the entire box and I am uber excited about it! I also found it very appropriate that this happened on my 12th box which completes my first year of Stitch Fix. It's been an exciting ride and I'm looking forward to what Melissa has in store for me in the future, as always. I feel so lucky to have found a fabulous stylist who has such great attention to detail and overall just gets me. I know not all fellow subscribers have been so lucky, but my best advice is to try different approaches (be less specific, pare down your Pinterest board, manage your own expectations, etc) and hang on tightly when you do find the stylist that's right for you.
