Colorful Yarn Cakes
/I’ve developed a yarn cake problem over the last month or two. It all started on a trip to Joann Fabrics when I was looking for the foil transfer kit for my Cricut. It wasn’t in stock, but I found a ton of Lion Brand Cupcake yarn in gorgeous bright colors that was on sale. I’ve always been attracted to bright colors, but feeling the need to buy yarn without a particular project in mind was a new one for me. I ended up buying two cakes in the Clown Car colorway and went home pleased as punch. I ended up finding a pattern I wanted to make and decided I might need more than two cakes, so I went back to Joann’s and bought a few more cakes of Clown Car and then decided I couldn’t leave without several cakes of the Tutu Much colorway too.
My Clown Car project is nearly complete and I’ve got big plans for the Tutu Much cakes as well. I visited Joann’s again today and found a bunch of Lion Brand Mandala yarn on sale. You’ll never guess what happened (ok - you probably will). I ended up buying a bunch of cakes in the Peacock colorway. Do I have any idea what I’m going to do with it? Nope. All that matters is that I have a bunch of bright yarn to play with as I “hibernate” for the winter.
